I am having a problem with Flash MX 2004 crashing in OSX 10.3.2 running on a dual G4 with a gig and a half of RAM, plenty of hard disk space, and nothing being loaded under startup items.
I have installed the latest Flash updates, to version 7.0.1 and run the HotFix Utility, but nothing works. I get the authentication screen, the OK, and the application loads only to crash.
I have run Disk Warrior and repaired permissions all to no avail. I have turned off "Fast Switching" as Macromedia recommends. I have also done a safe boot to disable extensions, and then it seems to load okay, and seems to be stable but I haven't tried to do anything while in this mode, and this is not the way I want or should have to have to work. If I restart normally, Flash crashes. Trying to make sense of the Flash Crash Log is an exercise in futility.
Is anyone else having this problem, and if so do you have a solution? I have contacted Macromedia, but they are less than helpful as usual.
