Hi

I'm looking for a system where I can execute unix commands/scripts om unix servers.

The idea is to give "Non Unix people" access to execute predefined commands or execute scripts on a server.
Ex.
Service desk that has the ability to unlock users.
Monitoring people can start a deamon when reciving an alert.

One of the possibilities that I am looking into is to make a system that uses sshkeys and then a php website to present to the users. But this will require development of the website, the funktionality behind and setting up all the ssh keys.

Hope someone has some idea

Regards
LHG

There are some existing tools that do this; for example if you have Red Hat Network configured its administration interface has a scheduled commands/scripts facility (and not just for Red Hat clients). Similarly tools like Veritas Cluster Management Console have such features. Personally I prefer the more home-grown methods like you alluded to... but I guess it depends what you already have set up in your environment (operating systems, tools, etc.).
