Hello;

I have been using Shalom Help to build my help files and I cannot get my VB program to F1 into the target page that I have specified on the context ID in the project properties page. Any clues?

Thx Bashless

I am using the same help editor. I use this method to open the relevant page.

I have a Common Dialog control on my main form, named CD.

I trap the F1 keypress, and issue these commands:

CD.HelpFile = App.Path & "\MyHelp.hlp" ' Substitute your help file path and name here

CD.HelpContext = cst_FrontPage ' this is the constant for the page that you want to jump to

CD.HelpCommand = cdlHelpContext
CD.ShowHelp

This should open the help file at the page specified by your constant. In Shalom Help, you can have it generate the page constants for you, and put them in the clipboard ( so you can then paste them into your program ). If you know the page number of the particular page you want to jump to, you can substitute this for the constant.
