Help entering entering dates as parameters 1

I have created a report that works fine under report designer. <br>It accepts a start and end date as a parameter in the format - date(2000, 07, 01), completes successfully and also prints the dates correctly on the page.<br>But when I run the same report from Info Desktop, no records are selected and the dates are blank on the report.<br>This is how on-line help tells me I should enter dates as parameters.<br>Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is silly but my date parameter only works correclty when I use capital D as in Date(2000,01,30)<br>
