Hi,
We have a 2K domain
Exchange 5.5 (running on Windows 2000 server not DC)
We want
2K domain
Exchange 2003 Enterprise (running on Win20003 Server not DC)
However to minimise the hassle for end users i need to have the new server the same name as the old server.
So, can we start the installation with the domainprep and forestprep etc and still have the 5.5 server working happily and then do the migration over the weekend.
Also what is the best way to have the new server have the same name as the old email server... should we migrate to the server with a different name and then simply change its name and ip number after taking down the old 5.5 server ?? or is that asking too much.
Please advise if you can..
Many thanks
Biran
