HELP. E-mail body replaced with a period

My CEO is recieving E-mails that are showing up with only a period in the body replacing the original text. This happens even when the message is forwarded as an attachment. Outlook Web access and Outlook both have the same problem. I've had the sender send the message to alternate accounts outside of our company and those can be read just fine. Inside get's screwed up though.

I've already checked our spam gateway and I can see the message body just fine there as well. We have it coming into a Exch5.5 server from the gateway.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
