hi ,

lsdev -Cc disk says that all disk are availaibles
lspv returns all disk with their PVID
lsvg -p <vgname> gives me one disk missing

it's an SCSI disk.

backup have failed last night...... :-(

ls on some FS returns the list of files but cp of the files in this FS fail
on other FS ls return " . not found ".

If someone have and idea to avoid loose of data

fsck says : Unable to read superblock
is it a VGDA problem ? if yes can i copy/repair it ?

1.1 Copy a superblock
If you have a dirty superblock error message during mount or fsck -you might try to do “fsck”. If this does not work try the following (This procedure does not promise 100% success).
USE this procedure ONLY as a last resort if fsck fails !!!!!
(The following example relates to a bad filesystem in slv2.0)
Copy the secondary superblock to the primary superblock. An example command and output follows:
dd count=1 bs=4k skip=31 seek=1 if=/dev/slv2.0 of=/dev/slv2.0
dd: 1+0 records in.
dd: 1+0 records out.

Then we'll run fsck on this filesystem to ensure it's back.

thank you for the answer.
but lookslike it's not a good day for me :

dd read error: I/O error

that's what i receive when i try the copy. :-(

wainting for the hardware intervention , perhaps moving the disk from on slot to another or changing is "electronic" part.

after reboot disk become : defined . so it's time for miracle or restore.
Unfortunetly restore happend more often ......
