I am in the process of aiding with the installation of a network from the ground up. One question we are faced with is this: we need an e-mail program that will only show the user who logs in their own previously read messages and any new mail they receive. There are 10 workstations running Win2K Pro and the server is running Win2K Server. Are there any e-mail programs that will only show the mail of the user who logs into the mail client?? Thanks in advance!

Your issues are not mail server related but client related. Mail servers ask for user authentication before giving the mail.

Have you actually installed Exchange 2000?

If you have Exchange, there are many ways to set this up. OWA, MAPI, IMAP profiles etc. With multiple mail clients.

Do you need multiple users accessing a limited number of computers?

If so you may want to consider roaming profiles on your NT domain.

I would recommend reading some basic NT, Network and mail related books and ask specific questions after you have some basic knowledge.

If not I'm sure people on this list would be prepared to build the network for you. At a price.

Just add some user accounts. Then make sure DNS works and install E2K and load Outlook on the 2k Pro and your on your way to a real network :) Dan
