I need to read a DDS2 tape on a DDS4 drive runing sco 506. I will be using the cpio comand, with little experience. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Should work with out problems.

Step 1: WRITE PROTECT THE TAPE

Step 2: DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU DID STEP 1 CORRECTLY

Step 3: use "cpio -itv" first before actually restoring.
