Hi all, it is CS1000E rls 5, My question is that Can i use Alphanumeric characters in Node ID? i mean

Node ID=abc.123-de.com

and second question is regarding CS1000E ,HA. NTP`s are not clear about joining/making redundant both cores.
I have configured both Cores separately and its database is default, Should i connect both Core HSP then configure Core IP`s one by one? or should i configure each IP when i was configuring Cores separately?
Thanks

The Node ID has to be numeric since you have to enter that on the phone as well and the phone doesn't allow to enter alpha at that stage.

On the other I believe you connect the HSP and then console into the other core and set your IP info and perform the syncing steps. You also have to set the Core number in the BIOS of the other core before the software install.

On the HSP front connect it wait for the 2 CPU's to sort out who is running the show. Then one should restart and sync memmory with the other side (even though they are the same). Once its settled down do all your programming on the active core. The 2 IP addresses are not physically attached to the devices but floating which ever CPU is active will have the ELNK Active IP and vicer versa for inactive.

And as above that will be a no on the alpha in node ID.
