MY
someone told me that Adobe Pagemaker could create a table of content with automatically insert those page numbers for the titles or topics... For example i just have to create the page titles of topics then somehow the software can indicate where the topic located at automatically... Can anyone guide me on that technique??? thanks

Hi, debrizio,

First of all you need to make full use of the style palette. In your "Chapter Title" or "Heading" (whatever you choose to call it) style, check "Include in Table of Contents".

When you have completed your document, run the Utility "Create TOC"

A default style called "TOC" will be created which you can alter if you wish.

Note that if you make changes to you document, you will need to run the Utility "Create TOC" again - it does not auto-update.

Full details are at page 192 and onwards in the PM7 User guide, and the helpfiles under "Indexes, Contents, and Pagination"
