Could someone help me with the settings on how to connect to the MAPD maintenance modem. The modem is already configured but I am looking for my PC configuration.

Thank you.

Are you trying to connect through ASA, if it is a direct connect I have done it using hyper terminal, 9600,8,1 & none is the port setup.

What about using ASA on the network to manage it once it is up? I set it to 513 for emulation and the IP port 23 and I don't get a login prompt?
Thank you again.

Via IP, see if you can ping it. Usually though Avaya recommends it's own 192 network in which you would not be able to connect via your LAN network.

By modem I have 9600, 8, none, 1, Hardware

Thanks,

You have to define the Default Gateway (TCP/IP Administration/Network Routing Information.../Default Gateway). Without that you can't get in via IP.

Thank you again, I will try to dial into it to set the TCP/IP parameters.
