I have a sample folder of Pervasive 8 data on my C:\ drive. This folder includes *DDF and *.VDB file types.
I am attempting to connect to this data with Crystal Reports 10, but I don't see any Pervasive drivers available via ODBC or the CR-10 Database expert...but I may just be looking in the wrong place.
The CR-10 help file says the following -
Crystal Reports connects to the Pervasive (formerly Btrieve) engine through the translation files crdb_p2bbtrv.dll, p2bbtrv.dll, and p2ctbtrv.dll.
The Pervasive engine is a complex collection of DLLs and EXEs that are specific to the version of Pervasive you are using. For more information on the different Pervasive engine files, refer to your Pervasive documentation.
Note: Pervasive must be configured correctly for Crystal Reports to read Pervasive databases. If Pervasive is already configured correctly on your system, Crystal Reports can use your Pervasive data immediately upon installation. Crystal Reports automatically installs the Pervasive files that it requires to read Pervasive data. Refer to your Pervasive documentation to make sure the Pervasive engine is configured correctly.
I have not configured Pervasive in any way - all I have is the folder of files that were sent to me via e-mail.
Does anyone know what I need to to in order to have my system recognize these DDF files via ODBC?
TIA for the help!
