Hi all

Our office recently purchased a HP m351a printer, assuming it would be network ready.

However, it's only a local printer, no networking, wired or wireless, and it's proving a real struggle.

I've spoken to HP about a JetDirect, but they don't work with local printers (I thought it might MAKE a printer into a network one using the USB, but no such luck)

I purchased a USB print server, which didn't work (Didn't recognise the device, wouldn't set an IP obviously)

HP have told me there isn't a way, but I'm hoping somebody out there who might have gone through something similar can push me in a direction I haven't thought up.

Thanks for any help , much appreciated!

What USB print server did you purchase? I have set USB print servers up before successfully although the cheaper ones can be a bit of a pain at times.

You could also just hook locally into a PC via USB and share out the printer. Unaware of what scale you need this for. Or just buy a new printer. New network laser printers for small office arent that much. My Dell 1350CWN was only $150.
