help connect winnt to samba 3.0 share

Hi all

I am trying to connect a windows NT machine to a samba share, using samba 3.0 running on a Solaris 9, will not let me connect, at time of trying to login this is the errors I will see in the samba log (my windows 2000 machines are able to connect) below I also included an output of testparm –v

Any help is greatly appreciate

This looks like an authentication problem.

Under the global section, you have null passwords set to no. Have you assigned passwords to the user account(s) you are using from the nt box? If not, assing passwords, or change this to yes.

ok ... i fixed my samba for NT for plain passwords ...

modifying smbd/sesssetup.c:
if use force samba to use passlen1 instead of passlen2 (worked out using the unic variable) you can authenticate my NT4 box. (line 827 ish)

or by changing:
