Thank you Santohdj123 for the helpful information on October 7, 2003

I still want the windows executable to run under linux. I have added this line in the fstab file
/dev/hdb3 /home/acorn/sua fat defaults 0 0

When I save and exit I run:

# wine /home/acorn/sua/sua.exe

Nothing happens, and The command returns.

1. Please verify that this line that I added to the fstab is syntactally correct
2. Why is the wine program not invokin the software

Is that directory mounted (type 'mount' to check)? fat = FAT16 partitions, while vfat = FAT32 partitions. Most likely you need to change it to vfat.

Hey
don't try out for files which are under ext3 or ext2 file system.
But wine is used to run the files from window file system (FAT32)
e.g.
# wine /mnt/c:/program files/winamp.exe
best luck
