Sorry, it's another one of those threads. I have been banging my head trying to get my MBMs to show up in the hardware inventory of my BCM400 r4 (no expansion module.)

My system is configured 2/6 and I have the following MBMs:

DTM (PRI)
CTM8
DSM32+
FEM (want to use two of the FEM ports)

The best I have ever been able to do is get the CTM8 (which always appears in the HW intenory twice) and DTM to appear with the DSM and FEM completely removed.

I promise I've read the manual back and forth about dip switches and tested about every combination prior to posting this.

Is there something I'm missing perhaps related to the "Telephone Resources" section of the configuration? What part does having this section accurately configured affects the MBMs properly showing in the Hardware Inventory?

If anyone could give me a set of dip switch settings to try I would be very greatful. I would even settle for just telling me which bus to place each MBM.

Thank you!

You should not mess with the dip switches on an R4 in the main cabinet. I think you must be looking at documentation for an earlier software release.

You do need to set the switches on a 4.0/400 BCM.

start with the DSM in bus 2 sw/all on
DTM in 7 - 4 and 1 off
CTM in 6 4 off
Now the FEM put in 3-4 it says to only enable the ports you are goin to use. Each port on the FEM you use takes a bus up.

Since all the modules are different types they can't share busses, so you can ignore the offsets and assign each to a different bus. Alos, some of them have two sets of dip switches so make sure you're using the right ones.
