HI! I have two routers. The RV042 and the WRT54G v 6.0. Each router has one computer connected to it. The two routers are connected to each other with a switch. The RV042 is configured with the IP 192.168.0.1 and the WRT54G is configured with the IP 192.168.1.1 Each router can be pinged without a problem from the workstation that is connected to it.
I want the two networks to be able to ping each other and in order to do so I setup a static route between the two routers. Router RV042 is setup with this static route: destination: 192.168.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.0.1. Router WRT54G is setup with this static route: destination: 192.168.0.0 mask: 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1
Router WRT54G can't ping Router RV042 and Router RV042 can't ping WRT54G. Why is this? Shouldn't each router be able to ping each other.
