Hello everyone. We have a Control Unit: IP 500 V2, and been experiencing some issues. Conversations get cut for like a second, and it could happen multiple times during the call. and it only happens on whoever is outside of the system. I have disable SIP on my FW and everything seems to be ok with our network. I have never dealt with this system before so i do not know where to start. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

this could be an issue with the trunk itself, is this a sip trunk?

Hi, thanks for replying. Yes this is a sip trunk. How should then approach this issue.

well could be a network issue, also could be an issue with the provider, did this just start happening? give us as much background as possible and what has been done thus far troubleshooting this isue?

It has been acting up for the past few months. Like i said im not experienced in telcom. however the things that weve been doing include, contacting our avaya seller, they say not the system. they blame the provider, the provider blames them or our network. I really do not know what to do woith this issue.

Thanks all, i am going to try the wireshark capture to get that out of the loop. any special steps to consider before capturing the packets?

Check with Avaya Monitor for DSP Core X failure (X= a number). I've had this issue in multiple places from a failed VCM card.

tried the monitor, dont see any DSP Core X failures, but i see some errors in red:
