I have done something to my mates PC, when it turns on, it does the memory test, then it comes up with an error saying "floppy disk(s) error (40)". The floppy is not faulty and the wires are all in correctly, also the hard drive has been reformatted. What is going on?? does anyone have ideas please!

Cable loose on one end, or reversed (light stays on)?
