Hey guys, hope someone can help me. Although there has been no changes that I am aware of, our SBS 2008 standard server no longer backs up. If I access the backup tab from the SBS console, it will sit at querying for quite some time, and then finally say "not configured". If I open the actual Windows Server Backup snap in, it states "Reading Data, Please Wait." This never goes away.

I'm assuming that perhaps some sort of database for the backups has possibly become corrupted, but I have no idea where to start to get it working again. Any help someone can provide is GREATLY appreciated.

Have you tried re-running the configuration wizard to resetup the backup?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

I assume you mean the Server Backup Configuration Wizard, and yes. I have tried that. It also hangs when it is opened.

You likely need to restart the server to free up whatever resource is hung.

I hope you find this post helpful.
