help backing up sql 7 db's accross a multi-domain

Using Backup Exec 8.5 on primary domain to backup SQL DB's on anther server in its own workgourp and not on the Prime domain. Both servers running Win NT4.0. Primary domain admin and backup account have been createded in the SQL server's NT workgourp admin and backup group. reveiving access denied when trying to backup. I've tried backing up with the primary domain admin, and veritas accouts having full access in SQL, I've created a prime domain and veritas account using SQL authenication, I've tried using a workgoup copy of the admin account and veritas account. Backup services are started using the backup account in the prime doamin, I've setup full SQL access and admin rights for the primary backup account in the workgourp, but I can not get Backup Exec to attach to the SQL DB's using the primary backup account.

Personally, I never set up any software other than SQL server to do backups from the databases. I have sql server backup to a fixed harddrive and then use the tape software to backup the backups.

I'm using Back-up Exec 8.x to back up SQL
I suppose you have the accelerators and SQL server options for Backup Exec???

I was told by Veritas tech support that you must have the SQL Enterprise manger loaded on a remote server if you want to backup SQL on it. And SQL is not loaed on the Server doing the back up. I moved my backup unit and re-installed Back-Up Exec on my "Small Business Server" where SQL and Exchange are loaded. It now backs up all the SQL server databases and everything on all servers.
