Help & resource files reverting to FPD2.6 files

My VFP8 installation reverts to

Resource : c:\fox26\foxuser
help: c:\fox26\foxhelp

I am trying to use VFP to write reports for FPD26 tables

Any suggestions as to where I should look for a solution?

That's a bit strange, but you can always use SET HELP TO full path of VFP Help and SET RESOURCE TO Full Path of VFP Foxuser.dbf

Open Tools->Options, File Locations.

Set the location for help and resource files and click SET AS DEFAULT.

I made a classic error which I have often advised people to avoid in these forums(fora).

If used a FPD2.6 view which had the resource and helpfile specified.
