Other computers on the network running 2000 have connected to 2003 server (i just installed) just fine. I'm adding a windows xp professional machine to the domain.

I've right clicked My Computer - Properties - Clicked Change (to join the domain) - Clicked Domain Radio Button - Typed "synvis" - Then it prompts and tells me that the domain controller could not be found.

I'm stumped. Any help, that's helpful of course, would be appreciated. lol

you need to make sure you have your ip and dns settings right. make sure that the dns server address on that client are of the dns server in the 2003 enterprise and it has an ip address in the same subnet.
