I am recreating a logo and having some issues. I found it so hard to describe what I am doing, I decided to post a link to a web site that has the finished logo. The reason I need to make this is for printing some stationary. Our existing JPEG was not high enough resolution for them to use. If you look at the URL, it would be the logo on the top left of the page.

I have managed to recreate most of the logo, but I have two issues. I don't have any idea how to make the cirular line on top. And, the two "legs" at the bottom corners, are actually rectangles and the ends extend out to far. How can I "clip" them off so they are flush with the corner.

I hope this makes sense, and I appreciate any help.

How have you drawn the new logo? If you use the Pen Tool it allows you to be very accurate on what point goes where. Have you done the logo by just drawing shapes? You really will need to master the Pen Tool to get the shape of the crook, and the bottom corners to come to a point (although you could use the Pthfinder Tool to cut out shapes).

If you use the Pen Tool, draw lots of guides to help you get the position very accurate, so straight lines really are straight and level with other parts of the logo. It also helps greatly if you use plenty of separate layers for drawing the individual components. The whole lot can be flattened at the end (after deleting the layer holding the original raster image).
