Hello,

When I'm configuring the exchange 2000 agent for Exchange 2000 server, the agent interface returns a "System Privilege" error.

Failed to add SYSTEM privilege to the specified account
Error Code=%d
Error Code=1314

My build number is 394 and I've applied the Exchange Agent patch.

Can someone help me with this?

Hi,

I've had this error as well with Arcserve 2000 & Exchange 5.5
What fixed it for me, was to logon to exchange with the account that you are using to backup the server. This should give the account the required privilege.

I should have added in the last post to logon to the server using the backup account & then configure the exchange agent.

I don't think you have set up the exchange agent correctly.

Have you granted service account ( I think 2000 is another higher admin account) and joined your NT Domain admin to this mailbox? Have you made sure its primary group is Domain admins? Are you sure the mailbox created for ARCserve does not have its first three letters in common with any other mailbox alias?
