Hello, we recently implemented a new SAN backup with a new 60 tape library. I am trying to automate the import, export and inventory functions using bemcmd. However, BU Exec 8.6v3878 always prompt's with an alert to "Please insert media into the portal." By the time the scripts runs the media will already be there, I am looking for a way to automate the reponses to the alerts. There are some articles and I placed the reg settingin for the media request timeout and alert timeout. Neither seem to be working properly for this event. Has anyone had any experience in automating such a task.

Hey did you ever get this solved? I figured how to inventory any slot, erase a tape in slot 1.

Well create a Media set and set the tape and slot number to each media. and uncheck the prompt alert message ..
