Im a new developer of sharepoint. i am interested in finding out how to use sharepoint server for workflow and intergrating with and existing database for reporting purposes.

What type of database are you trying to integrate? I assume your trying to run reports and post them to a Portal for web access. Ashley L Rickards

I want to use a combination of Informix and access. What I would like to know is how exactly I can get it in my dashboard site. I would also like to know how I can export summarised data in excel and make graphs. I would really appreciate this.

Where can I get such a webpart? Or do I have to create the webpart myself? I can use xml or http, whichever is faster to develop.

I think you will need to create the webpart a .DWP file. I'm not exactly sure how that's done. Run a search in this forum or on Technet or MSDN. Probably get more info and detail. Ashley L Rickards
