Hello,

I have log messages(syslog.log file size keeps increasing) coming from Cisco routers and switches into my Ciscoworks 2000 (RME Syslog server) but when I go into Syslog analysis, I don't see any log messages. Have gone into Cisco.com for answers(not TAC) but problem remains.

Thanks for any response.

Look under RME/Syslog Analysis/Unexpected Device Report to see if the messages are being logged there. If so then you may need to look at what ip address you have in Ciscoworks for that device and use the "logging source-interface" command if it is a Cisco to force the device to use the same address as a source for syslog messages.
