hello
i have an arabic and a russian text....i read it fine in worpad
but when i copy and past i in flash...flash can't reconize it .
Wordpad indicate that the text use the " time new roman font(arabic)"

the solution could be to import the text in a program which reconize the
font and convert the text in gif or vector format..but i don't know a
program like that

i've tried to copy some arabics font in windows fonte directory...but that
doesn't work...

are you making a text box and then copy/pasting into that or what?

If you have the text in your windows/fonts system...Flash should have it also.

and...how much text are we talking here?

I also think that if you have the TT fonts installed in Windows it should work, as any other installed font.

i will try...but it seems wordpad use a none true type font:time new romant with an arabic script..i don(t know what is this script...
i think it's something about unicode...i will try to import the text in word (office2k) maybe it has a function than can convert text in graphic

is excelent...but the solution we have found is to export
the text in html format...and work with this in flash...export in html work fine..i've tested it...

Well friend i've experiensed this problem for a while ..
and you got the solution (the copy and paste stuff)
the best three little freewares able to do this are:

* Al-rassem al arabi
* Al miftah
* Al wassit
