How do you create running totals in crytal?

Simply just right click on the field you want to do a RT and then select Insert, Running Total.

To learn more about RT go to the Crystal Decisions web site and find the technocal paper Everything you need to know about running totals. It explains 3 methods... the RT expert, the 'manual' RT method using formelae and the RT functions used by ver 5 &6.

Your definition of a running total may differ, if you mean a running total in that you demonstrate an ongoing total, and you have CR 8 or above, use Insert->Field Object->Right click Running Totals and select NEW.

It should be self evident from there.

If not, post specifics about your environment, such as version, database, example data and expected output.

[Madawc]

In Crystal 8.5, at least, you will also find Running Totals as a section in the Field Explorer. This allows you to total fields you are not displaying.
