hello, computer freaks....
I had 2 times the operating system (windows 2000) shuting down (and impossible to reboot). The second time, I tried to reinstall windows 2000 but with an other version than the original (wich I lost), since I keep having there messages:
sysmd.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows
you will need to restart the program....

and the same message comes a little later with the file svchost.exe.
I can tell you that I'm rather scared to loose everything again....
Can someone tell me what to do? and if these messages are dangerous for the machine?
Hoping for help, thanks
laurent

Thanks Karmic for your help,
it solved the SYSMD.EXE error message (I've got the kasperky gold licence anti virus and it didn't find it!!!)
But I can't solve the svchost.exe error message. and this one is more serious... troubles all my stuff and connection on the net...
got any idea? I'm always scared to end up with the death sceen....
