Hi all,

The POS system is Micros 3700. The concept is a "tapaz" like concept with a lot of cold and hot small plates.
Currently the server takes the complete order for the guest. Enters the complete order in Micros and put the hot small plates on hold.
Once the cold small plates hit the table, the server goes back to Micros station and release the "hold" on the small plates. Is there a way to automate this process and create a macro or isl function that will automatically release the items than are on "hold" after a certain elapsed time ?
We have looked in the KDS features but unfortunately it won't work with a small plate concept as there is no way of removing specific item from the chit once they have been delivered.

Any help would be greattely appreciated.
Thanks
FreeSoldier.

Turns out there a function in Micros Res 3700 called "Timed Fire" that solves my request.
Cheers

If using the KDS you could also use the course bump fire option. If setup correctly and rung in correctly only your first course items would show up on the KDS. Once that course was bumped from the expo KDS then the next course would be fired. You could repeat the process if need be.
