The problem is the user puts a call on hold and takes another call.
After 15 minutes of being on hold the call disconnects.

The disconnect timers doesn't come into play because the phone is never free to invoke the reminder.
Call flow is incoming PRI to Extension.

I can't find any documentation on this, I suspect this is normal for the IPO to disconnect the call and consider it abandoned.
Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
Dave

You should take a look into SysMon to find out why the call gets disconnected.

But to be honest... If you would put me on hold I would hang up after five minutes or earlier.

That was my first response, why are they left on hold without an update after you answered the call.
The customer is looking for official docs stating this is normal. Of course finding that doc is next to impossible.

Officially max hold time is 27hrs, 46min and 39sec. (ridiculously long.. I'd get edgy after 27 sec)
Your provider may be terminating the call if there is no traffic in either directions for 15 minutes.
MoH active?

Kind regards

Gunnar

If a user put a call on hold it will be held for the duration of the system hold timeout timer and when it expires hthe system will ring the user whom put the call on hold. If that user is occupied the call will follow the busy na setting if enabled, or it will go to voicemail if enabled otherwise it will remain on hold.
It is not a wise thing to do, to put a call on hold for such a long time but it should be possible though.
Maybe you can create a group for each user with queueing enabled and announcements enabled and that particular user as the only member, let the held call fallback to that group after the hold timeout timer expires, then each time the caller is presented a queue announcement it will generate data regarding that call on the D-channel of the ISDN line, then the provider knows the call is still in progress...

As told above. SysMon will tell you the reason. Is the call disconnected by the opposite side or by IPO? If by IPO you will see the reason for the disconnection.
