Heirarchical Tree without using Tree item

hi,
I need help in this.

I need to construct a Heirarchical structure(Tree Structure) using data in a table without using the Tree item.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Try to look for examples from Developer 2.1. It contained a tree elemet, implemented as a non base table multirecord block of text items.
