My problem is the 2 boxes on the right hand side of the page. They are absolutely positioned where the are. The problem is the container div doesn't expand to keep them inside. If I try to set the height the page, it is off in FireFox but fine in IE. Is there a way to set the height or should I not use absolute positioning?

Thanks.

While there is nothing wrong with using absolute positioning, it does have its disadvantages, as you're seeing.

Any absolute positioned element will be removed from the flow of the document, so will not affect widths, heights, text wrapping, etc.

I would really advise against you using absolute positioning for the two boxes you mention for this reasdon. Have you tried resizing your browser? - the content goes under them.

Thanks for the reply. I originally only had the one updates box then I added the one below it. I had the one positioned fine without having to absolutely position it.

Now if i get rid of the absolute position the content shifts down. I can't seem to position the boxes without messing up the position of the rest of the content. Any tips on how to correct this?

Thanks
