I am trying to calculate heat emissions for various IBM servers. I have to provide our HVAC guy with this info so that he can fit our server-room with the correct heating/cooling unit.

I have looked up each model on IBM's site but was only given a "Heat Emission" numeric for only one model.

Is there some rule of thumb I can go by? Have any resources that may lend a hand in this endeavor?

Regards...

The Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) for each server contains the heat emissions data. In most cases, it includes basic and full configuration emissions. HMMs are available under "Service Publications" at IBM's Support site.
