Hi,

I have two Rs/6000 6F1 (each with 2 ethernet adapters, one 8-ports SAN switch and 1 DS4300 containing 4x36 Go) on two sites distant from 500m. The switches are linked with FO.
1. Is it possible to use diskhb
2. Wht are the step to set heartbeat over IP aliases

Thaks for all.

Yhank you very much Ogniemi,
I'm still facing a problem concerning beartbeat over disk:
1. On page 36, it's specify that "the recommended configuration for disk heartbeat networks is one per pair of nodes per storage enclosure". As I have two ds4300, both on different site, how must I proceed?

Thanks again

have you considered heartbeating with TCP over Fibrechannel?
I assume you are attached to your sanswitch with FC, if you make fcnet available, you will be able to see an extra networkadapter within smitty tcpip, to which you can assign an IP adress.
