I have a Partner ACS R7 with a 2 slot carrier with a 206e card added. When on any line and another call comes in the customer hears the other line ring until caller ID is done. I have tried two different R7's with the same results. Can the carrier or 206 card cause this problem. There are no cos on the 2o6 card.

Thanks

If SLTs are connected to the demarcs can the problem be duplicated?

Another test would be to power down the system, unseat the 206, power up and test with only the processor connected to the lines.

If the issue is duplicated using SLTs, the LEC would need to investigate.

If the problem only exists when the 206 is connected....replace the module.

Move 2 lines the exhibit the issue to the 206 and test talking on one of them while calling the other from your cell. I assume you're hearing a "bleed through" of the ringing voltage? Seen it happen on R7's and R8's. The 206E won't give you CID, but at least you can check for the ringing issue.
