I have a bcm 400 3.7 and we had a power outage over the weekend. Now when the system boots up I hear 3 fast beeps and then 3 slow beeps. Where can I find out what these are? The lights on the front of the BCM are flashing and VM doesn't work. I replaced the base function tray and the hard drive and it is still doing it. I tried to hook up a monitor to the front of the bcm to see what it is doing and nothing shows up like the vga port is bad on the base function tray. (thats why I tried to replace it)

Thanks,

Correction sounds like this

beep beep beep.....beep.....beep....beep beep

about 5 seconds after boot up.

Did u initialize the HD by connecting to the com port? System won't be operational until this is done.

Com port will not come up or either will the vga port on the front to see if the operating system comes up.

Are u connecting a your laptop to the bcm w/ a serial cable? You should see a menu or a boot sequence.

I Know i should not say this but did you replace the hard drive with another 3.7 imaged hard drive.

Yes I tried the serial cable on my laptop and a desktop. I did replace it with a 3.7 drive as well. Right now I put both the BFT and the new hard drive in a different 400 system we had laying around and it is booting up now without the beeps. I will keep you posted on what I find.
