headset w/o amplifier

A little off topic, but does anyone know if you can get a good headset that doesn't require a bulky amplifier (like the Plantronics do)?

I was just on the Plantronics web site Monday looking for another style for one of my users and they have a new line out that says they don't need Amps. I haven't used, seen or heard anything about them. Take a look and see. If you get one lets us know if it works !!

None of our headsets use amps (Meridian1), we use Qualis and GN Netcom on analogue and 2216 / 2616

Look for those headset type that is polaris.
We use plantronics (with model number start with P).
I believe other manufacturers also have it.

Keep in mind that the drawback of this type of polaris headset is that you cannot mute the call during conversation.
