Headset to Tap Into Handset 1

The sales manager would like to listen in on sales agents phone conversations. He remembers from his telemarketing days of having a headset that clipped inline with the handset. (This would be preplanned so that there would be no interuption in the call.)

Can this be done on a Nortel T7316 on a MICS 61.?

On handset jacks the 2 inner pins are the receive pair, the 2 outer pins are the transmit pair. You should be able to tap off the receive pair of the handset jack to monitor calls on that phone.

plantronics and almost all hte headset companies havea Yadapater ...which lets u plug in 2 headsets one for supervisor and one for agent

for monitoring/ training purposes ...
