I am wondering if anyone knows is there a headset out there compatible with a 6416d+ set that will allow the user to hit a button on the headset and answer the call?

I know you can get the wireless ones with a remove answerer contraption on the phone, I am trying to avoid that contraption and wondering if there is a wireless headset that will automatically activate the headset button when you push the buttonon the headset piece when not at the phone.

Thanks.

The Plantronics AWH-55+ is a wireless headset with remote answer capability and it does NOT require a handset lifter. We use these with 6416D+M stations.

Thank you.
It looks like the AWH-55+ will do what we need.

Do you know how I can tell if my phone set is 6416d+ or 6416d+M? in programming I have been setting them up as 6416D+, but they may be D+M. It appears that the regular d+ needs the lifter but the D+M does not.

Thanks much!

You need to look at the actual phone set. The D+M has a headset jack on the bottom, the D+ does not. It's also on the phone label (underneath the handset).

I don't know of any way to tell this from ASA.

Thanks for all the help, we have received teh AWH55+.
Does anyone know if you can have it ring in the earpiece if you are not at your desk?
She is able to answer remotely no problem, but it only rings on the phone, so if she's not at her desk, she doesn' know it is rining.

thanks.

Yes, it should ring through the earpiece as well as on the desktop. Check the ringing volume level on the phone, and make sure that the headset is fully charged.
