I have customer with an old headset that they want to use with their new partner system. Is there a headset status or hangup button that you can put on the phones? She finds it inconvienient to have to pick up the handset to make a call.

Instead of reusing the old headset, they should upgrade to a "partner" base, which plugs into the aux. port on the bottom of the phone. The partner base is really a nondial single line telephone. When you press the "on" button on the base, you are going off-hook, and you can do all your dialing on the keypad of the phone.

One other option would be to assign an unused, non-exsistant line to the phone, like line 24, and have the headset user press this button when they are not talking. This will take them off hook on this unused line, but will disconnect them from the current call. You could consider this a "hang-up" button. Problem with this is the set is off hook, so this disables the voice announce intercom, and shows the set in use on any auto-intercom buttons.

Thanks Tommy,
I will talk to her and gaive her the options. I would prefer the partner base.
