headset on a 4424 LD+

I need to install a headset on a 4424+. Does anyone know what button programming I need? I have tried the headset status button but it doesn't seem to work. I know I need a HIC 1 Adapter to plug into the headset port of the phone, but is there a volume control or a release button?

use headset hangup as the release button. The phone will control the volume. These adapters aren't the most reliable things in the world. I have had better luck with the Plantronics base units and headsets.
