I just got a headset key for my Norstar M7324. I have a built in headset jack. Does anybody know how I can program a headset key so that I do not have to lift my receiver to get a dialtone on my headset?

I appreciate the help.

I have never heard of a headset key. Your headset should work as long as you have handsfree set up on your extension.

Depending on your software level that will determine if you have to lift your handset or not. You may be able to rry
using an amplifier.

I hope this helps

You are right. I had a blonde moment and was thinking of an NEC phone system I used to support. Thanks for your reply though.

just remember to tell the customer that when you are using a headset (or have one connected to the middle jack on the back of the phone and have the headset activated thru the amp) the speaker is disabled and speakerphone is not available. to get back to the speakerphone if they want to they would have to unplug or turn off the headset then hit handsfree again.
