I am using a Digital to Analog converter to record the phone sets. The DAC triggers the recorder via a relay closure which is activated by the handest being placed on or off the hookswitch.
I need to be able to program a key on the Meridian phone (like the RLS key) to act like the hookswitch so that the receiver can be removed and a Headset used. This will reduce the need for the operator to place the handset back in the cradle each time a call is terminated, thus cutting off the recorder for that instrument.
