Headset for PC and telephone recommendation

I am searching for a few recommendations on replacement headsets for our office. We have Siemens phones on centrex lines and would like to hook up headsets to them. Additionally, I would like to connect the headsets to computers so they could double as PC speakers when a person is not on a call. Today I came across the GN Netcom GN 8050 TCA amplifier that says it does just that.

Does anyone have any experience with this setup? Any better recommendations?

plantronics is the most common and tend to last. their web site has a compatibility chart. i've used them on the old siemens line and on rolm phones before siemens came out with the 9006. don't remember if i ever used one on a siemens after that wonderful change. 9005 9751 rolm was one of the best switches i ever played with.. now i'm a nortel/cisco geek
