For those who may have run into this problem recently or in the future. If you see this event logged and you receive odd errors from your management tools regarding your OWA and receive connector verify that you are using the correct set of management tools. I ran into a problem that all signs pointed to an RPC request problem. After a bit of hair pulling I remembered that the machine I was using the management tools on had pre-SP1 and Exchange 2007 SP1 was the currently installed server version.
Uninstalled the old, installed the new, worked fine after on 2 machines. Anyway, hth someone in the future.
