Very new to Ericsson PBX. Site is using MD110 with softphones. Currently set up with each phone ringing on every Inbound Call. Would like to change to headphone beep with message stating what type of call as you can imagine the noise level with 400 seats. Have been informed that this is not possible. Is this correct as would expect this option as a Call Centre standard ????

Not sure about the headset beep with Message...... but one way to reduce noise easily is to change the CALALT of the extension. This can easily be done from each extension.

0 Not ringing.
1 Ringing.
2 Ringing after delay.
3 Only the first ringing period (always muted).
4 Ringing period after delay (always muted)
5 Immediate voice connection with tone
burst, controlled via a function key.
6 Automatic immediate voice connection with
tone burst.

CALALT 6 will give you dial tone for a second and then Auto Ans or CALALT 3 will ring once on the Handset and then Flash on the key until answered.

All very simple ways to reduce the noise.

Hope that helps,

JD
